Confirmation is the time where those who have been previously baptized as infants or young children learn what it means to claim the sacrament of baptism as their way of life. As an infant or young child the questions and promises of baptism were answered by their parents or guardians and the congregations. During confirmation they learn what these promises and commitments to the way Christ entail and claim them as their own. Confirmation lasts several weeks and culminates in a worship service where these youth will re-affirm, or con-firm their baptism. Confirmation is normally for 8th and 9thgraders.
