On October 26th, eleven members and friends of SSPC (and some 4-legged friends) gathered
under threatening skies to be part of the
2003 Northern Westchester CROP Walk
at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. Altogether, over 180
people, from 3 months to 84 years old, joined in this effort to combat hunger.
Despite the gray skies, there were lively discussions, many pictures taken of trees showing off
their fall colors, and plenty of 4-legged "walkers" to help set the pace.
Organizers estimate that over $13,500 was raised this year.
