Ben Bergstrom's Eagle Scout project

 
Ben’s Eagle service project, one of the steps toward Eagle, fulfilled the dream of former Pastor Nadine of our church (carried on with the encouragement of our Pastor Ned) by creating a meditation labyrinth within its gardens. 

Ben designed his space, researched the materials needed and managed the scouts to carry out the plan.   Their combined efforts and 333 man hours began with Ben raisingd over $2,000 from several car washes at SSPC, enough to purchase and deliver his selected pavers.  

The troop then marked, dug and leveled the ground, carefully placed the stones within a designed pattern, and landscaped its finished appearance. The result is a thing of beauty to uplift the congregation, to serve as a meditation experience for those who seek to walk it, and to offer as an outdoor garden respite for the community at large of any faith.
