Share the journey … Live the vision

We, the people of South Salem Presbyterian Church, are building a vibrant, exciting, and inclusive community of God’s people, joining together on a shared journey of faith.

As members of the “White Church on the Hill”, a beacon of God’s light and love, we are God’s faithful disciples who

joyfully invite all people to join us on the journey; affirming our differences, valuing the uniqueness of each, and respecting the traditions we bring;

embrace others with the certain knowledge of God’s abundant and overflowing love;

eagerly share God’s compassion through service to all people in our congregation, our community, and our world;

support, encourage and deepen our spiritual growth which enables us to personally experience the grace of God for the first time or over again;

commit ourselves to the Christian education of children, youth and adults;

explore God’s Word with excitement, share the Word with energy, and actively and vigorously live the Word each and every day;

truly love one another as Christ taught us, so that the love of God cascades through us, between us, among us;

live as God’s faithful disciples, and thereby inspire others to be disciples in the world, and to walk with us as we discover God’s grace and glory;

gloriously transform ourselves and our world by celebrating the power of God’s love and forgiveness, and to radiate that love and forgiveness out over the world, just as the light of the South Salem Presbyterian Church shines over this community which we serve.

Each week as a benediction, we go out into the world with a reminder of the Vision that is SSPC.  We promise to eagerly share God’s compassion through service to all people in our congregation, our community, and our world.

SSPC supports several agencies and groups through volunteer time, donations and prayer. There are many ways to be involved and to make a difference in our community and our world. Below you will find just a few of those listed.  Please read about these organizations and join us in our ministry endeavors.
