2026 Lord of the Wings Cook-off Competition - South Salem Presbyterian Church

We are so excited to host our first Lord of the Wings cook off competition at SSPC!

Saturday, February 28 2026 at 5PM – 8PM at South Salem Presbyterian Church

We are looking forward to an exciting night of fun and competition! Judges from the Culinary Institute and local restaurants will perform blind taste tests and will award their honors accordingly. Everyone tasting the wings will also get to cast a vote for their favorite “Tasters’ Choice” medals and trophies will be presented as well!

$25 – Admission to the event per person (kids 12 and under are free).

$15 – Suggestion donation if you are NOT tasting wings and just having dinner only with Pasta, Salad, Dessert with Beer, Wine and Water

Rules for Lord of the Wings Cook-Off Entries:

Wing Entries are to be dropped off between 3:30-4:45pm- hot and ready to serve SSPC to provide tables, paper plates, and electrical outlets if you have a hot plate of some sort.
The minimum to entry the contest the maker must make 75 wings in a tray. Cooks will distribute a single wing for tasters initially (so they’re not all gone before judging).
After judging and awards are complete, attendees are welcome to continue to sample entries.
Wing samples will be sent to the judges without garnish- you may provide garnish options for tasters
Basic ingredients to be listed along with known allergens (nuts, wheat, dairy, etc.….)
Judges will award Gold, Silver and Bronze for individual wing entries.
Tasters Choice to be awarded based on popular vote. The deadline to enter is Friday, February 27, 2026.
